Privacy policy

1. Controller

International Maritime University (IMU) processes your personal data on the learning platform. Contact: privacy@imuedu.com.

2. What we process and why

• Account data (email, username, name, language): to run your account and sign you in.
• Profile and anketa data (names in Unicode and Latin letters, country, date of birth, answers): to issue documents that match your identity papers.
• Learning data (progress, attempts, results): to deliver the programme and issue results.
• Security data (sign-in events, IP address for 90 days): to protect accounts.
• Marketing emails and photo publication: only with your consent, which you can withdraw in Profile → Consents.

3. Recipients

We use processors for hosting (Google Cloud, European Union) and email delivery (Mailgun). Your organisation sees your data only when you agree to share it.

4. Retention

Academic records are kept as long as the law requires; other data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed or when you ask us to erase it.

5. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or erase your data, object to processing and withdraw consent. Write to privacy@imuedu.com.
